Photo Jurni Definitions
What is a QuickPage?
A QuickPage is a pre-designed layout that is flattened. You are not able to change the layout, but you can add additional elements like photos and embellishments. A QuickMix can be a collection of coordinating QuickPages, called a QuickPage QuickMix.
What is a QuickMix?
A QuickMix is a collection of pre-designed layouts that are customizable. You can rearrange, reposition, resize and delete page elements.
What is the difference between a QuickMix & and QuickPage?
The only difference is the ability to edit the layouts. QuickPages are flattened and do not allow customization other than adding elements.
.jpg
File format used for rectangular or square objects. This is a popular file format for photos. Photo Jurni uses .jpg files for background images. Images are always square or rectangular.
.png
File format used for irregular shaped objects often used as embellishments. It has a transparent background. Photo Jurni uses .png files for non-rectangular embellishments.
Backgrounds
The very bottom layer of your layout. Photo Jurni will not place anything below the background object. You can use colors, papers, photos or scanned items to create a background.
Content
Is all the items that make up a page or layout including Backgrounds and background papers, graphics and embellishments that add character to your creation.
Embellishments
Anything used to decorate a layout such as brads, buttons, frames, etc.
QuickMix
A collection of pre-designed pages. Photos can be inserted automatically of placed individually. You can always add, delete and rearrange elements of the QuickMix.
QuickPage
Pre-designed digital layout that you cannot edit You can still add elements, pictures, etc.
From Scratch
You will start with a blank page and design it layer by layer.
Album Shape
Refers to the album shape, or orientation, such as Square, Landscape or Portrait. You can change album orientation at any time but you will need to reposition the elements on the page. Shape does not refer to size. You will choose the size as you print your pages giving you the most flexibility. You can create one album and print it in any size of the same shape.
Digi
Slang for Digital.
Digital Content
Items used as backgrounds and embellishments while using Photo Jurni. Additional digital content ccan be added to Photo Jurni's theme library.
Tool Drawer
Tool buttons found down the left side of the screen and organized in a step-by- step order to personalize a QuickMix or to create From Scratch.
Top Tool Bar
Shortcut icons for tools that are used often.
Layers
Photo Jurni pages are created using layers, just as if you were working with paper. You can adjust the layers, however, the background will always be the bottom layer.
Opacity
Changing the transparency of an object. This feature can be applied to backgrounds, photos, embellishments and text
